Job Description

WhyMaker is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Education Coordinator & Professional Development Provider to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will create, deliver, and oversee high-quality professional development experiences while managing client relationships, project logistics, and contractors to ensure project excellence. This role requires exceptional communication, organization, and a commitment to best educator learning practices.

Professional Development (PD) Creation & Delivery

  • Design and present engaging professional development sessions tailored to client needs.
  • Build standards-based, impactful learning experiences for educators.
  • Ensure PD content aligns with core educational values and best practices.
  • Represent WhyMaker in a professional manner, reflecting our core values.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and PD participants.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, setting and managing expectations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address client concerns proactively.

Writing and Communication

  • Draft clear and compelling PD materials, resources, and reports to WhyMaker standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in tone and messaging.
  • Communicate information, expectations, and updates to team members.

Contractor and Project Management

  • Coordinate logistics for PD sessions, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Oversee contractors, as needed, when outsourcing professional development projects.
  • Conduct quality control reviews on contractor-delivered PD to maintain high standards.
  • Follow process and maintain up to date project management system.

SKILLS

  • Positive, energetic, and service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to relate to and empathize with educators and diverse audiences.
  • Experiences delivering in person and virtual educator professional development.
  • Confident and dynamic public speaker capable of commanding a room of adults.
  • Skilled in holding attention and fostering proactive interactive discussions with educators.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly organized, resourceful, and proactive in identifying solutions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in K-12 teaching and delivering professional development.
  • Strong belief in project-based learning and constructivist pedagogies.
  • Experience with STEM and/or Ed Tech Tools and/or CTE.
  • Experience in building engaging and meaningful learning experiences for educators.
  • Adept at researching educational trends and integrating them into PD sessions.
  • Strong writing skills for developing polished and professional materials.

SALARY RANGE

Full-time, W2 position, salary range $67,200 - $72,000

NY, NJ, CT, PA home based preferred with adequate transportation

Travel 30% of the time
