Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Part-Time Remote Product Sales Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a consultative sales environment and is passionate about education and ed-tech. The Sales Specialist will be responsible for generating leads, nurturing relationships, and closing sales for our STEM product offerings with schools and districts.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the education sector or with K-12 school systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively present and explain WhyMaker's product offerings to educators.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Comfortable with CRM tools and sales technology.
- Passion for education and understanding of STEM or maker-centered learning is a plus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct outbound prospecting to generate and qualify leads within K-12 schools and districts.
- Develop relationships with educators, school administrators, and district decision-makers.
- Present WhyMaker’s product offerings and tailor solutions to customer needs.
- Manage and track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions in a CRM system.
- Follow up on inbound inquiries and referrals to drive product sales.
- Collaborate with the WhyMaker team to refine sales strategies and improve outreach efforts.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales activity goals.

SALARY RANGE
This is a part-time, W2 or W9 contractor position
Up to 20 hours a week
Hourly rate: $18-20/hour with commission opportunities
Commission Potential (Full Goal Achievement): $4,800/year
Total Compensation (Hitting Goals): $24,000/year
Total Compensation (Exceeding 110% of Goal): $27,200/year
