Job Description

We’re looking for a Director of Sales & Market Growth—a proven sales leader who wants to build, sell, and grow alongside a passionate team. This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on selling, team leadership, and market development.

You’ll lead a small but growing sales team, directly manage key accounts, identify new market verticals, and partner with marketing to sharpen our messaging. This is a pivotal leadership role for someone who thrives in a build-as-you-go environment and understands what it takes to generate revenue in an education mission-centered organization.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Lead the Sales Function

  • Sell directly while leading a small sales team to consistently meet goals
  • Manage pipeline development, prospecting, and key account relationships
  • Establish sales processes, cadences, and performance standards
  • Conduct regular coaching, 1:1s, and team huddles
  • Instill discipline and drive using tools like our CRM (Monday.com)

Drive Market Growth

  • Identify new customer verticals and scalable go-to-market strategies
  • Lead outbound efforts and high-value prospecting in new markets
  • Refine messaging to match audience needs and market trends
  • Use research, data, and frontline experience to drive strategy

Marketing

  • Manage the marketing team to align campaigns with sales priorities
  • Contribute to content, product positioning, and outreach strategies
  • Provide real-time voice-of-customer feedback to improve materials and offers
  • Track and share results to help optimize campaigns

Contribute as a Company Leader

  • Serve on the Leadership Team, participating in weekly L10 meetings
  • Align sales and market strategy to the company’s V/TO and annual goals
  • Hire and onboard sales team members as we scale

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing a sales team (small teams welcome!)
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence and comfort in selling while leading
  • A builder’s mindset—comfortable creating structure and strategy from scratch
  • Experience developing and refining sales messaging and positioning
  • Strong communication and coaching skills
  • Working knowledge of marketing concepts and how they support sales
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Monday.com preferred)
  • Bonus: experience in education, edtech, or mission-driven B2B environments
  • Bonus: experience with or interest in EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years’ proven experience as a sales leader
  • Experience in the Education Industry
  • Solid computer skills and knowledge of CRMs
  • Knowledge of EOS is an asset

SALARY RANGE

  • W2 position
  • Full-time, 40 hours/week, $72,000-80,000/year base salary, $100,000 OTE
